CONTEXT:
• Following the announcement of Mysuru as one of the five venues for the International Yoga Day, efforts are on to bring one lakh 25 thousand people to perform yoga at a single venue in a bid to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.
• The sprawling campus of Mysore Race Club is readied to achieve the feat on June 21st. The District incharge minister G T Devegowda will chair a meeting tomorrow to chalk out the programme for the International Day of Yoga.
• Mysuru had entered the record books in 2017 by gathering 55,506 yoga performers in one place till Rajasthan broke it last year by gathering one lakh five thousand people doing yoga.
