CONTEXT

  • That the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Imran Khan before the summit meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is not confirmed yet.
  • The leaders of the two countries are scheduled to travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic for the SCO summit of 13-14 June 2019.
  • The tension that was erupted after the terror attack at Pulwama and the Balakot counter-terror strike and the measures to de-escalate the tension is still ongoing.
