CONTEXT:

  • 19th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit began in Bishkek from 13 June 2019.
  • PM Narendra Modi will address the plenary session of the SCO Summit, where he will present his vision for the regional cooperation and development through the SCO forum.
  • PM Modi will also meet Presidents of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Mongolia and Iran on the sidelines of SCO Summit.
