Context:
- The 27th New Delhi World Book Fair has begun at Pragati Maidan.
- Inaugurating the 9-day Annual Event, Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar expressed happiness that books have not lost their popularity even after the advent of various media like audio books and ebooks.
- To mark Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, there is a special exhibition of books on and by Mahatma Gandhi. More than 600 publishers are displaying books at more than 1350 stalls at the fair.

- The theme this year is ‘Readers with Special Needs’.
